BAYLEYS PLATE UP
FOR A PURPOSE

Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose returns in 2023 with a new, fresh approach. We have partnered with some of Christchurch’s top hospitality venues for a month of festive dining. September 2023 will be Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose month. We want all of Canterbury to help us support the Christchurch City Mission’s Back to School Programme.

WHY IS PLATE UP IMPORTANT?

  • Helping struggling families meet school costs for uniforms, shoes, and stationery, Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose has underpinned the Christchurch City Mission’s Back to School Programme since 2019.

  • Bayleys wants every child in Canterbury to have the tools they need to go to school with confidence and get the best possible start in life.

  • Every child in Canterbury should have access to an education and the ability to turn up looking like everyone else, it really is that simple. It is a big goal, but one the Christchurch City Mission is tackling head-on with their Back to School Programme.

  • Removing barriers to participation in school can have profound positive benefits for our community, especially for our tamariki, our goal is for every child in Canterbury to continue thrive at life.

HOW PLATE UP FOR

A PURPOSE WORKS

  • It’s simple…each of our  venues has a Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose dish on their menu.

  • Every time you visit a participating venue and order the Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose dish, a contribution is made to the Christchurch City Mission Back to School programme.

  • Every Bayleys Plate Up meal ordered across all the venues in the month of September contributes to the total fundraising pool.  The more we can raise as a community, the more children we can give the chance to have the best start at school.

  • We are so proud of the wonderful venues that have agreed to be part of Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose in 2023.  Please support them – the Bayleys Canterbury team and our business partners will be doing the same.
