What is National Reconciliation Week?

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time to learn about our shared Australian history, culture and achievements. Celebrated between May 27 to June 3 every year, it encourages us to explore how we can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

How does Bridge Housing celebrate National Reconciliation Week?

Bridge Housing holds a number of events each year to celebrate National Reconciliation Week. In 2022, we hosted a special screening of Leah Purcell's film, The Drover's Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson for tenants and staff.

Bridge Housing’s Reconciliation Action Plan 2020-2022 sets out Bridge Housing’s vision for engaging with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, staff and stakeholders.

EuniceThe document contains a series of actions that Bridge Housing has committed to delivering under core themes: respect, relationships and opportunities. You can read more about the RAP here.

Bridge Housing encourages tenants to celebrate National Reconciliation Week with friends and relatives and learn about our shared history.

Resident video: Having a yarn with Eunice
