    It’s 2019, and you can now uber a submarine on the Great Barrier Reef. What a GIFT.

    From 27 May 2019 until 18 June 2019, you can use the app to book a one-hour "scUber" ride to get up-close-and-personal with the Reef.

    And no, you didn't read that wrong: this once-in-a-lifetime experience is called scUber.

    And it also includes a bloody HELICOPTER RIDE.

    To get to your scUber, you'll get airlifted to either Heron Island or the Quicksilver Cruises pontoon off the coast of Port Douglas – whichever is closer.

    A partnership between Uber and Tourism Queensland, scUber aims to encourage people to use more public transport and ride-share services, in a bid to reduce the environmental impact emissions have on the reef.
