Bring Your Bike Day (WA Bike Month)

The Town is celebrating WA bike month by hosting a  Bring your Bike Day to focuss on safe use and maintenance of your bike.

 

Date: 30 October 2021

Times: 10am – 3pm

Location: 1 Bold Park Drive – Town of Cambridge Administration Offices

Events:

1. Bike Recycling Station by Dismantle – (10am – 3pm) Donate your old bike to the award-winning WA charity Dismantle- an award-winning WA charity that supports over 400 at-risk young people each year, helping them to build the skills, confidence, and experience they need to get back on track.

2. Bike Maintenance Station by BikeDr –  (10am – 3pm)  Bring your bike and let the BikeDr help with basic maintenance and bike setups.

3. Bring Your Bike Stuff Swap – (10am – 3pm) Bring and Swap bike equipment and clothes or just take what you like.

4. Halloween Bike Decoration Competition from 12pm, judging will take place at 12:30pm - Community members are encouraged to decorate their bikes and bring them along and stand the chance to win a $50 voucher from Wembley Cycles.

Bike Safety Workshops by Bike Smart – Two sessions Session 1: 11am – 12pm

                                                                                       Session 2: 1pm – 2pm

Session details:

• 15min - Helmet and bicycle ABC checks

• 5min - Break

• 40min - Discussion on using cycle paths, hazard signals when riding in a group followed by a fun, practical course including traffic lights.
