Get to know the artists

Spirit Boy

Hailing from the bright lights of Ōtautahi, indie-rock outfit Spirit Boy(external link) make music they love to listen to. Led by Ethan Mead’s commanding voice, Spirit Boy take inspiration from Americana and folk artists of the 60s and 70s, the earnestness of 80s new romanticism, and the stadium-filling rock bands that shaped their teenage years.

Although Mead came late to songwriting, he has an undeniable ear for a melody and mind for a story. Mead describes the album as a “collection of joyous songs about being sad – a sort of celebration of the full spectrum of human emotion.” The album’s first single ‘Adolescence’ released in November 2022.

Con Carne

Con Carne(external link) is a rock band like no other, hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand. These modern rockers came together through a shared love of fierce guitars, pounding drums, and hoppy beverages.

Fronted by the talented singer-songwriter Mark "Dills" Dillion, whose voice spans genres from country to blues with passion and potential. Matt Johnson drives the band on and off the stage, while David Mckinnon holds down the bass with meticulous precision. And with Moses Robbins shredding on the guitar like it's an extension of his own body, the band's sound is a recipe of nourishing soul food.

Mim Jensen

Mim Jensen(external link) is an Ōtautahi based artist who has captured large international interest very quickly over the last 12 months. Her 2022/2023 releases “Germaphobe” and “Pause Button” have amassed over 1.5M streams/views over multiple music streaming/social networks in the past 10 months alone, with a listener base scattered all over the world. Mim’s recorded music captures her live sound very well, and this digital success has enabled her and her band to perform live at many well beloved NZ venues, alongside artists such as Great Gable (AUS), Teenage Dads (AUS), Goodwill, The Butlers, and Villainy, among many others.

Jensen’s music is packed full of energy and emotion. Her songwriting about love, loss, soaring highs and sweeping lows is relatable and captivating. Fueled with heartache filled harmonies and destructive lead guitar lines, Jensen and her band’s shows are a sweeping spectrum of indie rock and passion that are not to be missed out on.
