About the consultation
We are currently developing advice for the Government about tackling climate change over the coming decades.
Our role is to provide independent, impartial advice to the Government about choices they can make - and the pros and cons of different options.
We want to hear from farmers, growers and people in rural communities to help us develop this advice. You are an important part of our process and we want to hear your thoughts.

About the event
At the hui, we will provide an overview of the three pieces of work we are consulting on regarding Aotearoa New Zealand’s emissions reduction target and emissions budgets.
There will also be plenty of time to discuss your questions and ideas.
After the hui, you can make a submission until May 31. We encourage you to share your evidence, perspectives, insights and other information.
This will help make sure our advice to the Government accurately reflects all the challenges and opportunities facing the nation.
