The Department for Child Protection (DCP) remains committed to ongoing conversations with carers and carer support agencies about what is working and where we can improve the way we work together to care for children and young people.
As a first step towards our commitment to making flexible respite available, we will be exploring how flexible supports and services could be operationalised to support carers.
The carer consultation forums will seek feedback from kinship, foster, and specific child only carers. T
Tuesday 18 July 9am - 10am. This forum will be held at 31 Flinders Street, Adelaide and attendees can attend either in person or online via Microsoft Teams.
Wednesday 26 July 7pm - 8pm. This forum will be held online via Microsoft Teams only.
DCP is holding a separate forum for Respite Carers on Friday 21 July 2023 at 10am. Respite carers can register for this event here.
