While you can apply for scholarships at any time, it’s recommended that you apply at least four months before your preferred intake to allow sufficient time for your application to be assessed, your offer letter issued and accepted.

Intake 1 2024

If you’ve applied for intake 1 2024, commencing 26 February, please be aware of the following:

  • Offer letters sent from 20 November 2023
  • Return acceptance of offer 5 January 2024
  • Qualification completion evidence (applicants in final trimester of study) 31 January 2024

Applications for intake 1 2024 closed 5 September 2023 (for international offshore scholarship applicants) and 19 September 2023 (for domestic and international onshore applicants).

Australian Government Research Training Program

The Australian Government’s Research Training Program (RTP) provides funding to Australian universities to support both domestic and international candidates undertaking a PhD or research degree program. Support provided may include tuition fee offsets, stipends and allowances.
