Estates
When a person dies, their assets, such as their house and bank accounts, must be dealt with. The assets or property of a person who has died are known as their Estate.
Hamertons has an experienced Estate administration team. If the person who has died has left a Will it may be necessary to apply to the High Court for Probate of the Will, depending on the type and value of the assets in the Estate.
If Probate is needed we can make the application to the High Court, then work with the executors to administer the Estate. If Probate is not required we can assist the executors to deal with the Estate as stated in the Will.
If the person who has died has not left a Will, it may be necessary for a close relative to apply to the High Court for Letters of Administration. Hamertons can help prepare the application and assist in the administration of the Estate.
