Summary of Project
Study the effect of different pre-strain histories (tensile, or compressive, or biaxial, or several). Compare the fatigue life (S-N curves) for the different pre-strain histories (smooth and/or notched specimens). Develop a model to predict the fatigue life (using LCF properties for the same material). Analysis of failure mechanisms from fracture surfaces and microstructure features.
