Visa information

The Australian Government advises allowing a minimum of 6 weeks for processing of visa applications, so KBS 2024 delegates are advised to apply once they have confirmation of an accepted abstract, and no later than 5 April 2024.

Visa requirements differ depending on country of origin, but all KBS delegates who are not Australian passport holders will require a visa. Information for specific countries is included below. The most inexpensive and quickest options are outlined here.

Note: While a support letter from symposium organisers is not a criterion for granting of a Visitor visa to Australia, if you require a visa letter, please ensure that your conference registration fee is paid in full and then send an email to  with “Visa letter request – first name, last name” in the subject line.
