Sustainable Transitions through Democratic Design Doctoral Network

About us

CoDesign4Transitions is a four-year doctoral network running from 2024 to 2028. The recruiting universities are based in seven countries (Belgium, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain, UK) and will recruit and supervise a cohort of 13 transdisciplinary Doctoral Candidates (DCs). The project's network also includes 15 associated partners in business, government, and civil society organisations (CSOs) and one US university. The DCs will carry out original research in relation to three research objectives at the intersection of co-design, design for sustainability, service and systems design, democratic innovation, and climate transitions. DCs will be employed and trained for three years (36 months) within the four years. Training, supervision, and support for the DCs to deliver the research will be delivered collaboratively across the network. Each DC will also have two secondments as part of their training. CoDesign4Transitions is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme under grant agreement No 101120074. Results reflect the author's view only. The European Union is not responsible for any use that may be made of the information it contains.
