2024 SANTOS WHEELCHAIR RUGBY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP | Over the past three days, Adelaide played host to our major domestic competition, the National Championship, as elite level wheelchair rugby returned to South Australia for the first time in over a decade. Across the weekend, fans were treated to international star players from France, the Netherlands and Korea, joining the NZ Wheelblacks and our 7 state teams in the quest to be crowned National Champions. The event was a showcase of wheelchair rugby played at the highest level, with the below video highlighting just how intense our sport is to witness live. We look forward to growing the sport further in Adelaide and across Australia more broadly in coming years. A huge thank you to our broadcast partners, Foxtel Group & Kayo Sports for helping us deliver the event to thousands of Australians, the South Australian Tourism Commission for the wonderful hospitality and the below list of corporate partners who’s support has been immense: Santos Ltd Degnan #ispshanda SG Fleet AU The Rugby Club Foundation Paralympics Australia Rugby Australia World Wheelchair Rugby

We truly value the relationships we have with our partners. It was great to see our major partner Degnan collaborating with our community and showcasing some of their work last week. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Degnan for their ongoing support of wheelchair rugby.
At the opening of our latest completed project at Unanderra Station, we were fortunate to have two Wheelchair Rugby Australia athletes, Darren Harris and Jacob Cremen-Darkin, join us for the unveiling of the station's Accessibility Upgrade. Both athletes toured the new lifts and footbridge and engaged in discussions about their training, upcoming events, and the crucial role of accessibility in public and transport infrastructure. The Australian Wheelchair Rugby team recently clinched the World Championships in France, showcasing their prowess on a global stage. Next year's Australian National Wheelchair Championships is set to take place in Adelaide, with the Adelaide Government successfully securing the bid to host the championships in May 2024. We extend our best wishes to all Wheelchair Rugby players for these championships and for the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, starting in August 2024. Degnan is proud to support Wheelchair Rugby Australia, and we thank Darren and Jacob for joining us in celebrating the opening of Unanderra Station's Accessibility Upgrade. #accessibility #wheelchairrugby #support #worldcupchampions
