🎖 In May 2023, IoT Analytics assessed that the 2022 acquisitions of Sigfox and Sierra Wireless by UnaBiz and Semtech, respectively, signaled a convergence of LPWAN technologies that may lead to multi-LPWAN connectivity modules. We did not have to wait long to see this trend appear. On Tuesday, Semtech announced a collaboration with Unabiz to enable Sigfox 0G technology on Semtech's LoRa Edge and the LoRa Connect platforms.   According to the announcement, this collaboration will allow customers to develop innovative solutions that combine the power of LoRaWAN and Sigfox 0G technologies. Semtech now offers support for Sigfox technology integration with LR1110, LR1120, and LR1121 products through the provision of Sigfox-related APIs (drivers). By leveraging both technologies, customers can achieve global coverage for a wide range of IoT use cases, such as the ability to use ultra-low power geolocation for asset management in supply chain and logistics management.   We view the convergence of the #LoRaWAN and Sigfox ecosystems as a remarkable accomplishment in the IoT industry.
