About
I have a deep-rooted love for superhero characters and warrior movies, and their core value of taking responsibility for great power resonates with me. That's why I pursued a career in Cyber Security, which has been a natural fit for over twenty years. I am fortunate to have found a job I'm passionate about, and I look forward to working each day.
One of my proudest achievements has been spearheading a "Green Field" approach to cybersecurity, where I've focused on changing the culture and implementing a risk-based KPI-driven information security program in my previous four organizations. Knowing that I've made a lasting impact on an organization's cyber culture and helped them achieve better regulatory compliance and customer trust, is highly satisfying.
My strengths lie in my ability to see the big picture and identify all the more negligible risks associated with the business. This has enabled me to consistently improve the organization's cyber posture within time and scope requirements.
I enjoy networking and assisting our customers in achieving sustainable excellence by securing their data, managing risks, and leveraging the opportunities presented by today's intelligent cloud and intelligent edge world. My work is about making a difference, which drives me to do what I do best.
Core Competencies:
• Cloud Security and Digital Transformation
• Zero Trust Network Architecture and Strategy
• Cybersecurity Strategy and Road map Development
• Board reporting, Stakeholder engagement and Vendor Management
• Thought Leadership and Public Speaking
• Security Operation and Incident Management
• Security Governance and Compliance Management
• Enterprise Security Architecture
• Leadership, team building and training
• Security awareness and organisational culture change
• Member of ISACA, AISA, and ISF

We’ll also be addressing the urgent issue of outdated software on over a million devices, elaborating on Microsoft's steps to mitigate a 78% surge in high-severity vulnerabilities, and underlining how Microsoft's tactics align with the Zero Trust model.

Curiosity is key for a career in cybersecurity
Microsoft
Working in cybersecurity is a bit like a cricket match. If you’re on the defensive, i.e. on the batting side, your job is to fend off attacks from the opposing team’s bowler. The attacker can send several balls your way – they have almost all the time in the world to keep coming at you. But if you’re the defender, you only have to miss one ball and you’re out of the game. To ensure that we can hit back every attack that comes our way, those of us on the defensive side need to be constantly…

Securing the modern enterprise in a digital world
Microsoft
Today’s cyberthreat landscape is dramatically different from days past. Gone were the days when organisations can fortify themselves using security approaches that protect the organisation from the outside-in. As devices, data and mobility converge, and the attack surface broadens, securing the modern enterprise in an environment where skilled cybersecurity professionals are in short supply and resources are limited is posing huge challenges to many business and information security leaders.
