ANU COVID-19 Peer Support Program
The ANU COVID-19 Peer Support Program was set up in April this year to help India’s health professionals deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the 150+ health professionals from across Australia that have signed up as volunteers - medical students and registrars, general practitioners, allied health professionals, specialists, administrators and IT specialists, have all come together to help in whatever way they can.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the 150+ health professionals from across Australia that have signed up as volunteers - medical students and registrars, general practitioners, allied health professionals, specialists, administrators and IT specialists, have all come together to help in whatever way they can.
We offer clinical support (including individual case discussion), education support (creating educational resources, providing education sessions to groups of health professionals etc) and research support (helping draft projects, sourcing research support including data analysis).
We believe the crosstalk is helping health professionals in both countries learn more about the disease by offering different perspectives.
Having seen the advantages to both countries from the peer-to-peer interaction, and with that learnt experience, we are now expanding our focus to other areas globally.
Since the 16th of June, we have been holding weekly webinars on COVID-related topics. The list of past and future sessions can be found here: https://health.anu.edu.au/news-events/events/covid-19-international-peer-support-program-webinar-series. If you are interested in presenting as a guest lecturer or in being a panellist, please contact us.
We are currently collaborating with “Global Medics 4 Covid” and with “India Covid Support”.
Our motto is #wecanhelp.Other creatorsSee project
