The Australia China Natural Gas Technology Partnership Fund has delivered its first virtual seminar, “The role of LNG in the future”, with government and industry panellists from Australia and China meeting to discuss a range of topics including the role of #LNG in reducing global emissions and how workforce development in the sector can contribute to supporting clean energy capability.  Professor Eric May, Managing Director of the Future Energy Exports CRC in Perth, led the panel discussion, with opening remarks from our Deputy Director General, Simone Spencer, and China National Energy Administration Deputy Director General, Mr Hu Jianwu. Created to support activities that establish long-term partnerships within the energy sector, including working to create positive economic outcomes, increase knowledge and skills, and enhance the relationship between Australia and China, the Fund is designed to enable professionals from both countries to gain cross-cultural industry experience.
