What's Happening

The Bunbury Outer Ring Road’s (BORR) Yaka Dandjoo training program was designed to provide individuals who are unemployed, or those who have never been employed, with an opportunity to gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to kick-start their careers in construction.

Since its initiation in September 2021, the program has created sustainable employment opportunities for 191 graduates.

As the BORR project approaches its completion in late 2024, many of the programs’ graduates will be looking for their next employment opportunity.

There are currently labourers employed through labour hire, and apprentices and trainees who will be looking for a new host employer following BORR. We are confident that the skillsets of these graduates will be of benefit to the local business community.

We are inviting businesses to an information session to discuss the program. Business representatives will have the opportunity to speak with the Yaka Dandjoo team about the graduates who are currently working on BORR and looking for work following the project's completion.

There are two sessions available – one in person and the other online.

Please register your attendance here.

 In person:

 Date: Wednesday 17 April
 Time: 10:00am - 11:00am AWST

Unveiling the Strategy Behind BORR’s Urban Design

Unveiling the Strategy Behind BORR’s Urban Design

The Bunbury Outer Ring Road (BORR) is more than just a network of roads, bridges and interchanges. It’s a story about our culture, our landscape and community that surrounds it. The urban design strategy offered an opportunity for local and Aboriginal artists to come together to tell this story.
