Fire risk assessment: A measure to quantify fire risk for New Zealand locations

This report assesses the suitability of using New Zealand Rural Fire Authority’s Fire Danger Rating System as an indicator on wildfire risk for the Ministry for the Environment and Stats NZ’s environmental reporting. The report provides information on the input data and methodology used to calculate fire danger ratings, and provides examples of how these data could be used for environmental reporting.
