The Pullman Trinity Point Resort will include a 65-room hotel, 150 serviced apartments, business and conference facilities and a 188-berth marina as well as luxury hotel facilities and retail stores.
Next door to the resort will be a major 250 apartment precinct, including a mix of short stay accommodation, and residential apartments.
Johnson Property Group chief executive Keith Johnson said the $388 million Trinity Point development would significantly boost tourism in Lake Macquarie.
‘‘A major drawcard of the hotel will be the surrounding lifestyle amenities, which we are developing within the precinct,’’ Mr Johnson said.
‘‘Including a 200-seat restaurant with additional outdoor dining, a 300-seat function centre and an extensive foreshore boardwalk and stunning seabaths overlooking Lake Macquarie.
‘‘Lake Macquarie currently attracts more than 900,000 visitors every year.
‘‘The new Pullman Trinity Point and surrounding restaurant, function centre, lifestyle and marina amenities are set to significantly boost tourism in the region.’’
The 23 hectare waterfront property will be located at Morisset Park and overlooking Barden’s Bay.
Mr Johnson says the development will become a ‘‘key economic driver’’ for Lake Macquarie, with construction set to create 3500 jobs as well as the ongoing employment in the hospitality, tourism and marina sectors.
The first land release at Trinity Point is expected later this month and are anticipated to sell fast.
