Welcome to the Survey

The Local Industry Participation Policy (LIPP) was implemented in 2017 to ensure that competitive local businesses, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), are given every opportunity to respond to procurement opportunities offered by the ACT Government. This policy details requirements for Territory entities to consider local capability and capacity, and economic benefits for the Canberra Region, when determining the best available procurement outcomes.

Curijo has been engaged by the ACT Government’s Better Regulation Agenda to undertake an evaluation of the LIPP to:
-        Understand the effectiveness of the LIPP in meeting its objectives;
-        Determine whether the scope of the LIPP remains aligned with the ACT Government’s broader procurement agenda and complements other procurement policies and programs that have come into effect since commencement of the 2017 including:
o   ACT Procurement Values
o   The Wellbeing Framework
o   Jobs and Economic Recovery Plan
o   Switched-on Canberra.

As a part of the review of the policy You/Your organisation have/has been identified as a relevant stakeholder. Your valuable input will help us improve the LIPP in ensuring that local businesses are given every opportunity to respond to procurement opportunities and to promote the development and growth of the broader Canberra region economy.

We appreciate your participation in this survey.
