Metro League

Metro League is a highly competitive competition that has evolved over the recent seasons. Metro League is an open competition accessible to teams from any Metro based Association. The aim of this competition is to provide a competition of strong standard that can provide a stepping stone to State League or a competitive playing experience for those who are looking for a competitive hit but not at State League level.

2023/24 Key Dates
  • Online nominations open, Tuesday 1 August
  • Online nominations close, Sunday 27 August
  • Start of season, 14 October
  • Last match before Christmas to be 16 December
  • Break after 16 December, and returning on 27 January
  • Last round to be on 2 March
  • Matches will not be played over the Adelaide Cup Long Weekend – 9 March
  • Finals to be run over 2 weekends, commencing 16 March with Grand Final on 23 March
Team Nomination 
  • A Tennis Club affiliated with Tennis SA may nominate a team to compete within the Metro League Competition
  • Nominations shall be submitted online via League Manager
  • The Nomination will require a nominating club to name in Order of Merit the players which it proposes to play in its team. Players who are listed as reserves will not be taken into account when grading and require approval if they wish to play.
  • All players nominated must have registered and activated their own Competitive Player Profile to compete.
  • Players with a UTR rating can only be selected
  • Select preferred division
  • A player nominated by a club in the top four in the Order of Merit must play a minimum of five matches.
  • Team Fee’s for Metro League competition will be $140 (inc GST) per team. Clubs will receive an invoice once teams are final.

  • If you find your club has players with multiple profiles please get in contact with the Metro League Coordinator to help merge the duplicates for your club.
