About Tai Neke, Tai Ora

Tai Neke, Tai Ora is a Whānau Ora approach to whānau hauora that focuses on the four aspects of wellbeing as outlined in Te Whare Tapa Whā. Taha Tinana (physical), Taha Hinengaro (mental and emotional), Taha Whānau (social), and Taha Wairua (spiritual).

Tai Neke, Tai Ora aims to support kaupapa that help whānau to understand the importance of nurturing all aspects of their hauora, as well as building a connection to te ao Māori and to their hapori. Some examples of kaupapa that Tai Neke, Tai Ora have supported include the revitalisation and promotion of mātauranga Māori through sports and recreational initiatives; activities to enhance the wellbeing of kaumātua; and kaupapa that seeks to lift the wairua of whānau Māori through traditional healing practices.
