COMMUNITAS - Brunswick Community Music Event
About
On Sunday, March 27 you are all invited to a big Brunswick Communitas music event!
We will be making music together as a community, open to children and adults, for free!
The event will be at Siteworks, all outdoors, starting at 3pm with the main performance at 4pm!
What is communitas?
Communitas is a concept that basically just means 'a community celebration'. It describes that moment when a community comes together to celebrate itself, and when everyone has a great time!
Communitas is the feeling you might get at a birthday party when you gather round the cake to sing the song, at a sports club awards night when everyone has a dance, or a Scouts camping trip when you're all telling stories by the campfire.
It’s the feeling that we've been missing for years!
Details
This is a free and voluntary event.
Jack Madin, the BNWPS music teacher, is organising the event for the local community.
Siteworks will run a BBQ, and there will be a bar, with a small range of food and drinks for purchase. You can also bring food and drink.
We would love some Helpers and Volunteers on the day. We would be looking for adults to help during the event, and especially any car or van owners to help move some instruments on the day! If you would like to help please click here and put your name and details down.
This is a public event and there may be photographs and video taken of the performance.
