TALKING POINTS

First impressions

Remarkably, the Bulldogs and Suns are yet to go head-to-head for premiership points in an AFLW season. That will change tomorrow night however, when the Dogs head north to meet the Suns on their home deck. It will also be the AFLW Bulldogs’ first visit to Metricon Stadium, and first match on the Gold Coast.

Winning form

After an interrupted start to their 2022 season, the Bulldogs are back on track and looking to register their fourth consecutive win. Sitting just one game outside of finals contention, continuing to notch up the wins will go a long way in helping them secure a top six spot.

Ruck battle

As of Monday morning, the Bulldogs and Suns are the top two teams for average hit-outs. The Suns, led by Lauren Bella, are currently averaging 30.5 hit-outs per match, while the Bulldogs’ ruck brigade, consisting of Celine Moody and Alice Edmonds, are recording an average of 28.2 hit-outs.
