The 2021 VFL home-and-away season will move to a 14-game season as a result of COVID-19 interruptions, as announced by the AFL this morning.

The competition was originally scheduled to have 16 games across 19 rounds.

All 22 clubs have played at least seven games across the first 12 rounds.

A top-eight finals structure will commence on Saturday 28 August, with the VFL Grand Final to be held on Sunday 19 September at Marvel Stadium.

The ladder-leading Footscray Bulldogs will look to continue their eight-game winning streak on Sunday, when they host the Sydney Swans at VU Whitten Oval.

Tickets must be pre-purchased prior to attending.

All VFL games at VU Whitten Oval are run in accordance with a COVID-Safe plan.
