Victorian School Readiness Funding
School Readiness Funding (SRF) provides extra support for Victorian government-funded Kindergarten programs to help children gain the most from their learning.
Raising Literacy Australia is nationally recognised as a leading provider of professional learning and literacy programs for the early childhood sector and can be part of your SRF plan.
Our professional learning and resources are evidence-based and aim to influence children’s learning and development positively.
Professional Learning Courses
Currently, we offer five professional learning workshops on the menu of evidence as two-and a half hour online sessions.
- Building Foundations for Early Learning
- Inclusive Literacy Practice
- Developing Oral Language
- Language Literacy and Critical Thinking
- Social and Emotional Language
Each course is $400 per person and includes an educator toolkit of picture books from our publishing house Little Book Press
The program costs also include training slides, book lists, checklists and is inclusive of GST and freight for the educator toolkit.
Building Home Libraries
Building Home Libraries Program is an early years multilayered literacy program. It aims to build children’s learning capacity, oral language and literacy development. The Building Home Libraries program provides pre-schools and kindergartens with quality picture books, craft resources and tip sheets which they give to the families they work with.
Staff receive professional learning on ways to share literacy messages with parents/carers and techniques for role modelling ways to use the books and resources to support rich home learning.
We offer a 3 year old program and a 4 year old program.
The books in the Building Home Libraries program are from our publishing house Little Book Press and have been carefully selected to suit each age group.
Book Gifting
We can curate a pack based on your budget and children’s needs.
Book gifting can be a selection of books, activities and play resources presented in a calico bag.

Lending Libraries
Lending libraries help connect early literacy between your centre and the home environment.
We can curate a package to meet your needs and approved budget. Prices vary depending on the number of books and resources purchased.
