The two new confirmed coronavirus cases traveled with family members on this past Mondays’s Hawaiian Airlines flight from Honolulu.

The two and their family members whom they were staying with at the quarantine sites at Sadies by the Sea and Tradewinds Hotel have all been taken into isolation.

Two family members were with the confirmed case at Sadies and one was with the positive case at Tradewinds, so a total of five people are in isolation.

All five have been fully vaccinated and are asymptomatic…they are not showing any symptoms of coronavirus.

A second traveler at Tradewinds tested positive but he was classified as a historical case.

He had previously contracted Covid and medical officials decided he did not need to be taken into isolation.

Yesterday was when the first Covid test for the Monday arrivals was conducted.

Director of Health Motusa Tuileama Nua and doctors fronted an emergency press conference yesterday evening to announce the positive cases.

Dr Fiona Trail who supervises the quarantine sites said that the all five in isolation are well. Their genders were not disclosed.

One of the questions most are asking is how can fully vaccinated individuals still test positive for the virus.
