About this phase

Phase 2 of the scheme is designed to support the expansion and long-term viability of the call centre and back-office processing sector, helping to create local jobs.

An extra $10 million has been approved for Phase 2. This funding will provide grants to existing operators in WA providing third-party services to help them expand current or new call centre and back office processing operations. Phase 2 of the scheme is intended to create benefits for WA including:

  • Increasing the capacity of the call centre and back-office processing sector.
  • Strengthening organisational capability in the sector.
  • Upskilling staff through training and development.
  • Creating jobs in outer metropolitan and regional areas.
  • Boosting employment for diverse groups and creating entry-level jobs.
  • Supporting the adoption and use of new technologies.

The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation is seeking applications for funding from eligible call centre and back-office processing operators. Phase 2 funding may be granted for actions including:

  • employing additional staff in WA
  • establishing new operations in WA
  • expanding existing facilities in WA.

Who is eligible?


To be eligible for Phase 2 of the scheme, your company must:  

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or an Australian Company Number (ACN)
  • be an existing call centre and back-office processing operator providing third-party services, seeking to expand existing operations or establish new operations in WA
  • have been operating for at least 3 years.

How to apply

Applications close on Friday 25 November 2022 at 3pm.

Only one application may be submitted per eligible company and affiliated organisations. For more information, see the Phase 2 Guidelines.  

To be considered for funding, you must complete the online application in full and submit it before the closing date and time. Eligible businesses are invited to apply through the online portal below.

Key timings 

  • Applications open: Tuesday 25 October at 11am.
     
  • Applications close: Tuesday 25 November at 3pm.
     
  • Application review period: 4 weeks of closing date.
